What makes me go on a long trip alone?
2 years ago, I found travelling interesting, especially doing it yourself. Though it has never been a thing in Asia-travelling alone, a lot of Asian are trying to get into it. I am one of them, of course. I first started with some countries nearby or “considered safer” such as Singapore and Taiwan. One of the reasons I love going on solo is that I get to decide everything in my journey! Wanna go check out that boring site? fine! Wanna skip a meal? definitely! Don't feel like doing anything but staying in my room? Of course! It leaves me completely free when it comes to my plans! Also, the people I meet all along the way are amazing. With a limited budget, I usually go for staying in a hostel instead of a hotel. I found staying in a hotel boring and expensive, so what is the point? In the hostel, on the other hand, it allows me to meet people all around the world with different purposes of travelling as we stay in the same room. I actively interact with them, asking questions, and know their background and cultures. It sounds cliche, but it is definitely something you can’t learn from textbooks.
During that trip, I stayed in the US for a month and one and half month in europe visiting different cities and
starting 10/1, my journey began in Boston, USA.
